Rotary International's Ambassadorial Scholarship

Rotary International and the 30,000+ Rotary clubs provide a large variety of scholarships. The Potomac-Bethesda Rotary Club has a long-term and special interest in the Rotary International's Ambassadorial Scholarships. The Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship represents one of the largest private international scholarship program in the world. It provides $23,000 for a graduate student to work on a degree program in another country.  The Scholarship also comes with a relationship with Rotary Clubs in the area where the studies take place which can be very useful.

Candidates apply to Rotary clubs in the area where they live (not where they want to study.)   Candidates recommended by Rotary clubs compete for the scholarships at the Rotary District level.  We are in Rotary District 7620 (Washington, DC and Baltimore metro areas) with about 70 other clubs.

If you are interested in the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship (outgoing from District 7620):

If you are interested in studying in District 7620:  We welcome and support incoming scholars who take advantage of the great universities in our two metropolitan areas of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland.  District 7620 is a magnet for Scholars from all parts of the planet.  We have recently had students studying at: Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, George Washington, University of Maryland, American, and Catholic Universities.  For students interested in international oriented degree programs and internships the political, funding, and research organizations in District 7620 cannot be matched anywhere in the world.  Let us know if you have any questions about our area.  -- Steven Naron, chair Incoming Scholar program, District 7620, steven.naron@jhu.edu.
